Safari Information & Booking

Safaris are the only way to explore the park and are run in two daily shifts: morning and evening.
Vehicle Types: You can choose between a 6-seater Jeep (Gypsy) or a 20-seater open-top Canter bus. Jeeps offer more flexibility for photography and smaller groups.
Zones: The park has 10 designated safari zones. Zones 1 to 5 are generally considered the core areas with higher chances of tiger sightings, while 6 to 10 are buffer zones. The zone for your safari is typically allotted at the time of entry by the forest department's automated system.
Booking: It is highly recommended to book your safari tickets well in advance, as slots fill up quickly, especially during peak season.
Bookings can be made online
You must provide a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, etc.) for all visitors during booking and carry the original during the safari.

Tips for a Successful Safari

Jeep vs. Canter: Jeep safaris (6-seater) offer a more personalized and flexible experience, ideal for photography, while canters (20-seater open bus) are a shared, more budget-friendly option.
Multiple Safaris: Booking several safaris increases your chances of spotting a tiger, as sightings are ultimately a matter of chance.
Be Prepared: Bring essentials like binoculars and a camera. Follow the motto, "Take nothing but photographs; Leave nothing but tire-tracks".
